Change in menstrual cycle is very common in many women.
These changes in the menstrual cycle are as a result of many things
and they vary from one woman to another. In most cases, they are
caused by hormonal imbalances or hormonal shifts.
A woman may get some mid cycle spotting or experience heavy
bleeding in the middle of the cycle. This makes the periods to become
unpredictable and most women start saying that their periods have
become irregular.
It is not abnormal to have one or two varied cycles in one year but
having more means that some change in menstrual cycle has taken
place. It is therefore good if you visited a gynecologist to tell you
of the causes and to give you possible solutions of how you can get
your body back on track.
Women who are above the age of 35 are the ones who mostly get a
change in menstrual cycle. This is the period of pre menopause where
so many changes occur in regard to periods. It is very common these
days for women to completely stop having periods as early as 35 years
old.
Women who have the ovarian syndrome also have irregular
periods. This is mostly among women who consume foods with many
refined carbohydrates which the body refuses to digest and absorb and
this somehow results to irregular bleeding.
Stress also causes a change in the cycle. Having stress means that
the estrogen and progesterone levels keep on fluctuating and this
imbalance will lead to adrenal dysfunction causing the irregular
periods.
The thyroid hormones are connected to all the other hormones in the
body, and if for some reason they become off balance or you get a
thyroid infection then this has various effects on you body and
getting irregular periods is one of those effects. Most of the causes
to an irregular period are usually hormonal related.
It is possible to regain a normal cycle by mostly ensuring that
you eat a healthy balanced diet and getting food supplements that will
give your body the extra nutrients that it needs. Exercising and
giving your body the relaxation it needs is also another way of
ensuring that your periods will be regular. Avoiding stress and
stressful situation will help the body to relax and normalize the
periods. If you encounter stressful situations, you can seek some
stress management from a professional.
